KOTS field guide · V0.8

Make the product clear. Leave the person free.

This is the approved structure for an in-person introduction. Learn the truth of it, then speak like yourself. A good conversation ends when the person declines.

Product proof

Watch it before you pitch it.

Every approved product claim below points back to a moment in this film. Show the product, answer the question in front of you and leave the decision with the person.

The approved field film: wardrobe capture, today’s outfit, private try-on, planner and stylist conversation.

The pitch

Five moves. About forty-five seconds.

  1. 01

    Recognition

People often buy a good piece and still struggle to work it into the rest of their wardrobe.

  2. 02

    KOTS promise

KOTS is a personal stylist and smart wardrobe that helps someone decide what to wear from the clothes they own, then judge which additions deserve a place.

  3. 03

    Product proof

Show one real moment: a wardrobe becoming usable, a stylist explaining a choice, or an outfit built for the weather and occasion.

  4. 04

    Retail Insider offer

Eligible fashion and retail people can apply for an optional direct-referral partnership. There are no required shifts, no contact lists and no paid team beneath them.

  5. 05

    Easy next step

Would you like the three-minute walkthrough, or would scanning the page be easier?

“People often buy a good piece and still struggle to work it into the rest of their wardrobe. KOTS helps someone decide what to wear from what they own, then judge what deserves a place. Eligible retail people can apply for a direct, optional partner programme. Would you like to see the three-minute walkthrough?”

Approved claims

Say what the product can carry.

  • ●KOTS helps a member decide what to wear from the wardrobe they own.
  • ●Wardrobe, occasion and weather context can make styling more useful.
  • ●KOTS can help a member judge which additions earn a place.
  • ●A referred person registers themselves and controls their own data.
  • ●Direct rewards follow published durable-value and payout rules.

Do not claim

If the evidence is not here, the sentence is not yours.

  • —Guaranteed savings, earnings, fit, style outcomes or conversion.
  • —Retailer, employer, university or celebrity endorsement without written evidence.
  • —Access to customer, colleague, store or contact-list data.
  • —A payout date, rate or eligibility rule different from the current terms.
  • —Earnings from another Insider’s work or any downstream team.
  • —A feature that is not available in the build being shown.

Objection handlers

Acknowledge. Answer. Offer one next step.

These are boundaries, not verbal traps. Answer the concern in front of you. If the answer is no, thank the person and stop.

“Is this multi-level marketing?”

No. A Retail Insider can earn only from their own direct, qualifying referrals under the published terms. There is no paid team beneath them. The page shows the relationship before anyone applies.

“Are you asking me to sell while I am working?”

Participation is personal and optional. Workplace sharing depends on the rules of your employer and store. You can read the programme privately and decide whether it fits.

“Do I have to give you customer details?”

No. You never give KOTS somebody else’s contact details. A person chooses whether to scan your QR or open your link, then registers themselves.

“Is this another shopping app?”

KOTS begins with the person’s own wardrobe and the decision in front of them. Shopping appears when an addition has a clear wardrobe role.

“How much will I earn?”

The current terms show the exact rate, qualification rule, refund treatment and payout timing. Earnings depend on direct, durable member value and are never guaranteed.

“I do not have time for another programme.”

There are no required shifts or quotas for a Retail Insider. The walkthrough takes three minutes, and the application explains the relationship before asking for a decision.

“Can you guarantee this will save customers money?”

No. KOTS helps a person see and use what they own, then make a more informed decision. It does not guarantee savings, fit, style outcomes or earnings.

Retail questions

Know the answer. Know when to escalate.

What does KOTS do?+

It brings a personal stylist and a smart wardrobe together around the clothes a member already owns.

What makes it different?+

The starting point is not a feed or a shop. It is the member’s wardrobe, occasion, weather and real decision.

Does it replace a retail stylist?+

No. It gives the customer better wardrobe context. A good retail person still brings judgement, product knowledge and human care.

Who can become a Retail Insider?+

The V0.8 pilot is for eligible adults with credible fashion or retail experience who complete KOTS verification and accept the current terms.

Are there required hours or quotas?+

Not for a Retail Insider. Student Ambassadors are different: they are paid workers with paid scheduled activity.

How does the QR work?+

The QR opens a public KOTS page with the Insider’s code attached. Registration and any qualifying value remain attributable without the Insider collecting personal data.

What counts as durable value?+

A direct member payment that settles, remains after the stated refund and chargeback window and passes the programme’s eligibility and fraud controls.

Can somebody stop?+

Yes. A Retail Insider can stop sharing and revoke optional Student Ambassador support. Existing payment rights follow the governing terms.

If a question concerns tax, immigration status, a person's employer policy, eligibility, payout disputes or privacy rights, do not improvise. Use the KOTS support route and record the question.
